a note from the winemaker

Established in 1982 by the Browne family, Scotchmans Hill continues to be one of Victoria’s most prominent family-owned wine businesses.

Beginning with wines sourced solely from the Bellarine Peninsula, we have evolved into a company that produces and distributes wine from the key winemaking regions of Australia and New Zealand.

Modern and traditional winemaking techniques are utilized at our Geelong winery facility to produce some of Australia's most individual wines, with characteristics typical of the various regions.

Pebble Bay

The Marlborough region’s ancient alluvial plains, dry river beds & cool maritime climate produce these wines of distinction. Our vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau valleys reach into pebbly soils generating wines of distinctive and pure flavours.
